Service

When AT isn’t hosting a fun social event or supporting the Longhorns, there is a good chance you will find us out serving the Austin community. Our semester calendar tends to consist of just as many, if not more service events than any other kind of event. Our dedicated Service Directors have done a great job of providing our members a wide range of ways to give back.

We have supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for several years now. All of our fundraising events throughout the year directly benefit St. Jude. Our most popular event held for St. Jude is the annual Absolute Texxas Volleyball Classic, held every year in the spring. It is a round-robin style sand volleyball tournament that fields teams of AT members, members of other spirit organizations, and other UT students. In the past four years alone, ATVC has raised over $25,000 to support St. Jude.

Below is a list of other service initiatives and projects our members take part in:

  • Neighborhood Longhorn Program
  • Helping Hands Home
  • Ronald McDonald House
  • Pease Park Conservancy
  • Save-A-Creek
  • Austin Pets Alive
  • Austin Animal Center
